Is Razer A Good Gaming Brand?

Razer is a well-established brand that has been around for many years, since 2005, to be precise. Started by CEO Min-Liang Tan and Robert Krakoff, whose goal was to build a brand that creates high-quality gaming products to meet the needs of gamers. And so it began, a brand made by gamers for gamers.

Razer Gaming Laptop

Still, today Razer is releasing some of the best gaming accessories and laptops available. Including the new Razer Blade line-up, the improved Razer Huntsmen keyboard, and Razer’s quality gaming chairs. All these products are made with high quality materials, and some offer great value for money.

Another great thing Razer is doing is they are tinkering with the idea of the ultimate home gaming setup, named Project Sophia. It was revealed at CES 2022, and will be the world’s first complete gaming desk.

Check out the video below because you will be blown away.

So, is Razer a good brand in 2022? Well, the Razer gaming products I have used have yet to disappoint. You will also get a similar answer from many other gamers, who also agree that Razer Blade gaming accessories are some of the best looking products out there.

Another sign to look at and see if Razer is a good brand is by looking at their sales figures listed below. You can clearly see that Razer, despite all the ongoing distractions, still delivered some great products and services for millions of gamers worldwide.

Razer Reports full year 2021 earnings

We think looking at their financials is a great way to understand if Razer is a good brand or not. So listed below are the sales figures Razer achieved throughout 2021. Notably, Razer recorded record-high revenues ($1.45 Billion) with 34% year-on-year growth. Some feat considering there are many top competing gaming brands such as ASUS, MSI, and Dell Alienware. Razer’s figures could have been much higher if it hadn’t been for COVID-19 related issues affecting supply chains.

Key Razer Highlights: 2021

  • Total Revenue: $1,452.4 Million
  • Hardware: +34.0% to $1,452.4 Million
  • User Accounts: +44.1% Approx. 177.7 million Users

So, are Razer products good?

It really depends on what you’re looking for and what you need from a laptop or peripheral. If you just want something that has some extra bells and whistles, then Razer may not be the best choice since you can find similar products elsewhere for cheaper. However, if you’re looking for top-of-the-line performance with the latest features, then Razer is definitely worth considering.

Is Razer A Good Laptop Brand?

Razer is a well-known gaming laptop brand, and their Razer laptops are good options for gamers and professionals alike. In terms of performance and features they are some of the best options on the market. However, like with most gaming laptops, they are not without their faults.

You will find some users have complained about problems with overheating with the keyboard area getting hot. But what most people don’t realise is Razer uses vapour chamber cooling in their Razer Blade line-up.

How it works, it actually conducts heat away from the components and out of the laptop through the keyboard. Razer designed the keyboard so it will dissipate heat much better. So, in terms of overheating, Razer is actually one of the best cooling laptops.

For confirmation of this, check out the video below from Hardware Canucks. They tested the new Razer Blade 15 Advanced with a NVidia GeForce RTX 3080 TI. Which is available with either a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor or Intel Core i9 processor.

These guys confirm how good Razer Blade laptops are at staying cooler than most others. Who also said it has one of the best displays they have tested, speedier storage, and loads of physical ports. However, they also said, for its price, surprisingly, some features were missing, like a fingerprint sensor.

What Razer Laptops Are Available?

Razer released the first-ever ultraportable that you can play games on at breakneck speeds. The impressive Razer Blade 14-inch laptop is superb and the first with an AMD processor inside.

The latest version of the Razer Blade 14 has vastly improved since it was first released in 2014 – Then, it was Intel-based and only had 8GB RAM. But it did have a dedicated NVidia GeForce GTX 970M Graphics card.

Over the past year, the Razer Blade 14 has received rave reviews for its power and gaming performance. However, there are still some drawbacks. One big one is its RAM capacity which is maxed out at 16GB RAM. So, not the best option for everyone and especially streamers.

Other Razer gaming laptops include their 17-inch desktop replacement, the Razer Blade 17, a perfect option for content creators, gaming enthusiasts or anyone who can afford one. Packed with the latest NVidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics, Intel hardware, DDR5 RAM, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage.

Lastly, Razer also has the Razer Book, a sleek and tidy machine. Featuring a UHD Touch 60Hz display and integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Finished with a beautiful quartz pink finish and it’s a great little laptop for non-gamers. The Razer Book would also be a good laptop for school or college students or just for something you have lying around the house for watching Netflix.

All Razer Laptops

With all that in mind, is Razer a good brand for gaming laptops? It has to be a yes, due to the wide variety of options. Plus, the fact Razer packs them with the latest hardware, and they have great cooling systems to prevent overheating. They also look amazing and are solid and durable.

Are Razer Laptops Worth Buying For?

Razer laptops are definitely worth buying if you’re looking for a powerful gaming laptop for GTA or to play Call of Duty Warzone. They also look great and are well made, and they have some of the best gaming laptop features around. The only drawback with a Razer laptop is its price. But the way I see it, you get what you pay for. So, if you’re looking for the best gaming laptop brand around, Razer should definitely be on your radar.

Is Razer A Good Keyboard Brand?

Razer makes some of the best gaming keyboards out there. Almost all their keyboards are top-notch. But Razer doesn’t seem to dabble in the budget gaming keyboard market like some other brands.

Their popular keyboard options include the Razer Blackwidow and the Razer Huntsman. The Razer Ornate and the Razer Cynosa V2. These include full-size, Tenkeyless and 60% keyboards. Plus, Razer’s wireless keyboards are on par with brands such as Royal Kludge, Ducky, and SteelSeries.

Additionally, Razer keyboards are better known for their durability and build quality. They also have next-level Chroma RGB lighting. Plus, they come with a variety of different key switches. And these include the multi-award-winning mechanical switches and optical switches.

Another great thing about choosing a Razer keyboard over any other keyboard brand. Apart from Chroma software. If you visit Razer’s website looking for a keyboard, you can customise them to suit your taste and style. You can see how they look with different keycaps, and colours. You can also see what they are like with and without Razer Chroma enabled. And this is a great feature for gamers who are unsure what they want in a keyboard.

For these reasons, Razer has done a great job with its website. Geared towards helping gamers find the best products and improving overall user experience. Just another reason, Razer is a good brand in general, but also a good gaming keyboard brand as few other gaming brands offer these features.

It will also make your games sound like you’re right in the thick of the action.

Is Razer A Good Gaming Mouse Brand?

A list of Razer products would not be complete without mentioning Razer’s gaming mouse collection. Their first was the Razer Diamondback which gave Razer the first of many global awards. This time for being the world’s first Razer product with on-the-fly sensitivity.

Still today, all these years later, Razer makes some of the best mice for gaming, whether that be wired or wireless mice. Some of their most popular models include the Razer Deathadder, the Razer Basilisk, and the Razer Viper, which now come in many different forms, including a Hyper Speed wireless option.

Razer Basilisk V3 wired gaming mouse

After all these years, the ever-popular Razer vipers are now available in Black, Quartz, and Mercury. Razer has even built a Razer Viper dedicated to Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts. Features their trademark illuminated RGB Razer headed snake logo, optical switches, and up to 20,000 DPI with 99.6% resolution accuracy. This will offer gamers a unique way to show their love for their favourite games.

It’s not just with the Razer Viper that they have gone all out. Razer has also done the same with their Razer Naga gaming mice. With left-handed gamers in mind (including me). Featuring multiple programmable buttons and is a great option for MMO genres. They have mechanical switches, and they are also powered by Chroma RGB.

Razer also understands how choosing the best options for you can be beneficial. They also know that every gamer is different in some way. Different hand sizes or grips and styles etc. So once again, like with their headsets and keyboards, Razer created a dedicated webpage to help gamers find the best mouse for their gaming needs.

So whatever game you play, FPS, RPG, MOBA or whatever your hand’s size or preferred grip, Razer will recommend the perfect gaming mouse suitable for you. This is just another reason why Razer is a good brand?

Razer HyperSpeed Wireless

The world’s best gamers are behind this new technology. The Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology (Up to 3x faster) is the fastest wireless gaming connection available. Razer Focus+ Optical Sensors

Razer’s Focus+ Optical Sensor is possibly the best gaming mouse sensor technology. With 99.6% resolution accuracy, ensuring your in-game movements are translated perfectly into on-screen action.

Featuring up to 26000 DPI (Dots per inch) and 650 IPS (Inches Per Second) for accurate tracking far further than most other gaming mice in its class. This confirms “Razer has truly thought of everything!”

Razer Optical Mouse Switches

When playing games like Call of Duty Warzone on your laptop, every millisecond matters. So every click you make must be registered at the speed of light. This is where Razer’s optical mouse switch technology excels.

Their lightning-fast optical switches will reduce response time to less than 0.2 seconds. So there’s no need for additional software to counter debounce delay. And, because there is no physical connection required, these Razer gaming mice are durable. Some will last for up to 70 million clicks, and this is a lifetime of gaming for most users.

Additionally, when it comes to building the perfect gaming setup, there are a lot of great options to choose from. But, if you’re looking for the best of the best, then Razer is definitely a brand you should consider.

Is Razer Worth The Money?

If you’re asking, are Razer gaming products worth the money? I am here to tell you they are. Even though, in the early days, this may not have been the case as there were many other gaming products for less money that would perform much better. However, over the last few years. Razer products have begun to shine, with many Razers gaming products at the top of some of the best pro gamer’s shopping lists. Their build quality has got so much better, and so has their performance.

Razer Blade gaming laptops are a perfect example of this because they are so much better now than when they released their first in 2011. But, like with all premium brands, not every customer will be happy. If you take the time to read customer reviews, you will see for yourself they have improved. More gamers will tell you Razer products are now worth the money, and they have some of the best gaming laptops money can buy, the only downside being, there are no $800 gaming laptops in their line-up.

Is Razer a Luxury Brand?

Yes, Razer is a luxury brand, they’re known for their high-ticket gaming products. That includes top quality gaming laptops. Plus, it’s important to know they have stayed true to their goal and built an armoury of gaming products to meet the needs of gamers. Still, their gaming products are pricier than most other brands, but they are high quality and aesthetically pleasing. It doesn’t matter if your gaming device of choice is a PC, a laptop, a mobile phone or a gaming console Razer will have something for you.

Razer Competitors, Who are they?

There are a few companies out there who can compete with Razer when it comes to gaming peripherals and laptops. Logitech is one of the biggest names in the business, and they make some great products. Including microphones and superb streaming equipment, mice and wireless keyboards. Turtle Beach is another Razer competitor that makes some of the best headsets around. Corsair is another Razer competitor that makes some top-of-the-line keyboards, mice and headsets. But when it comes to gaming laptops, who are Razer’s competitors? Alienware and MSI springs to mind. MSI makes some of the best cooling gaming laptops. Which at the top end could possibly rival Razer Blades laptops.

Hand Picked Content: Do you have a Razer device? If so, ever wondered if your Razer product is legit? We show you how to check the authenticity of Razer gaming accessories.

Razer is one of the top gaming brands in the world, and with good reason. Their products are packed with features that will make your gaming experience better than ever. Like gaming mice, keyboards, some of the best gaming headsets. You can sync all Razer products together with Razer’s Chroma RGB lighting system for a truly unique and immersive gaming experience.

That said, Razer can be seen as quite an expensive brand to some. And not every product will be perfect (like all premium brands). But you cannot argue Razer has covered everything a 21st-century gamer would ever need. So, if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line gaming brand, then Razer is definitely the way to go.
